Went in knowing what we wanted and what we were comfortable paying. We had already done lots of research so we didn't need any type of "sales pitch". Who wants to deal with that anyways? Jasmine had the car pulled around for us to see, and we were greeted by Curtis. He was so personable, honest and just a genuine guy. I felt like we were dealing with a life long friend. He along with James made the buying experience so easy, and the finance manager had us in and out within 20 minutes. I could not have asked for a better experience. Unforntatley this type of service is not common but I can promise you, if you get lucky enough to work with Curtis you will be very well taken care of! We are forever Athens Chevy customers! The only reason this review even gets three stars is because the Service department is solid. When servicing my vehicle at Athens Chevrolet I have had good experiences. It has been no hassle and fair pricing. The salesman however are horrible. I have witnessed and been victim to the salesman at this dealership sitting in the parking lot waiting to harass people as they drive in. Then I have also seen them standing around the doors inside waiting to harass people as they come in. I bought a vehicle recently and when I drove into Athens Chevrolet to look around the salesman were literally camping in the parking lot waiting for me to exit my vehicle. So instead I drove around the lot best I could to see if any vehicles were on the lot I was interested in. The salesman actually followed my vehicle around the lot trying to harass me before I even got out. I left that dealership and bought a Chevy at another dealership a week later. They need to realize this is the day and age of technology and internet. Most buyers do not need a salesman and the few that do don't want to be forced into a vehicle or have you breathing down there neck the whole time. I strongly recommend this dealership to change their practices if they want to continue to be successful. I visited several other dealerships while looking for my new vehicle and this was the worst by far hence the reason I am writing a review. I will admit some others were bad, but not this bad.
I made a appointment for a oil change and tire rotation for 1030 on Wed the 29th of Nov. I arrive and am told it will be at least 2hrs as a service tech didn't come in! I responded by saying forget it! Was told I could come back at 2 o'clock! Told the young lady I came 25 miles so that was out of the question! I would like to know why they couldn't have called me as they had my phone number! Buying a new SUV in march,but thinking I may have to rethink where I purchase it!
I will never go back. How can a place give such poor customer servive. I had to walk between two departments for a key fob and programming. Why have phones if the parts and service departments required me to be the go between.
