Great breakfast and Sunday lunch! Great people!
My wife and I flew into Athens to see the DAWGS !! play South Carolina . we stopped in and even though it was busy we got in real quick . We loved the food and the staff was friendly. The owner cooked, seated people, he helped the waitresses clean tables.
We loved the no frills breakfast they served here! It is easy to see why they have been in business so long. The only thing to know is they are a cash only business!
It was surprisingly busy, and I was thrilled to take him to a place that Ty Cobb might have eaten.
Good food, long wait. Seemed to be understaffed but the two waitresses working the whole place were professionals and did amazingly.
The waitresses and cooks look exactly as I imagined they would have, if Ty had eaten there, and their veggie plates were a bargain.
This is a blast from the past. When a friend was in town, researching Ty Cobb for a movie about him I took him to the Mayflower.
