My dog can fit through the gate and can escape in a second (if he actually wanted, instead he just greets dogs). We have also found black widow spiders on the bench. I really like the separation of small and large dog areas. I wish there were more ways to regulate dogs that come in (vaccine wise). I'm not sure that's possible.
The new work done to this park has been amazing. There is a large and well equipped dog park, tons of nice trails, and the new World of Wonder playground is very modern and awesome. It's easily the best playground Athens.
The dog park is alright! It’s just a vast amount of land. There’s two dog parks, one for small dogs and one for large dogs. However, I don’t think many people use the small dog park. There are trails behind the park that are really great!
Rarely crowded, this park is great for little ones to ride bikes and scooters or climb on the low bleachers by the small playground. Kids also enjoy watching the skateboarders and bikers at the skate park. The walking track means the parking lot isn't full of pedestrians like at Holland park.
This is the best park I have ever visited and im a park connoisseur of 20 years. Three play grounds of various age groups, ultra cool marry-go-round, two sets of swings, adult bench swing, huge slides, plenty of benches and picnic tables, bathrooms, fully gated to prevent escaping, grassy areas, wood chips, obstacle course. Awesome
