Great park. Nice for walking with our without dog, playing sports, relaxing
It's primarily for tennis and has some baseball fields. Though, I noticed the way the fence is lined up, apparently, they never expect a left-hander to play with decent arm strength as I don't see how people haven't been nailed by flying baseballs before. Maybe this is why the Braves have been so bad... It's not really a place to walk and the 'playground' is fairly small. The hobos were friendly.
Great place for tennis, football, soccer, baseball. Farmers market on Saturday mornings is a neat treat. Fresh produce and live music.
One of the best parks in Athens. It has fields, lots of paved trails that are good for walks, jogging, and for kids with bikes or trikes. There's also the Athens Gymnastics building, and a huge pool. Saturday's from May to November are the farmer's market which has food trucks and several bakeries. Come between 8 and 10 for the best stuff.
Honestly, some of the best breakfast food in Athens happens at the market. You gotta check it out.
