Overall, a nice quite spot but not my favorite in Athens. For Pokemon Go players, we didn't see many spawns and one three stops spread out over the whole park. This a great park for runners, but not so great for families with kids. For adults, there are winding, rough trails shaded by trees and a few cute docks to over look the lake. At the entrance is a little park with a soccer field and tennis courts that would be fine for kids but I wouldn't suggest venturing into the woods. The trail only has gravel is some parts. It's very steep and riddled with roots in several sections. Plus it's very close to the water in some parts and I would be afraid of small kids falling in.

Great trails that are suitable for running, walking, and biking. There is a lake and bridge very close to the parking area. It's pet friendly and includes an area where pets are allowed off-leash, though many owners will let their dogs run off-leash throughout the trails. There are some docks overlooking the lake and a couple benches along the lake too. Trees along the trails offer much shade. There are some parts of the trails that have a lot of roots, but for the most part there are some wider, flatter areas that are suitable for pushing strollers or for children's bikes/trikes.

Fantastic place to walk and run in the woods- miles of trails (primitive and gravel) including some considerable hills and a few creeks. Great views of the small lake next to the park for when you want to have a relaxing sit. Fenced in dog park sub-area allows for pets to be off leash. A good number of tree and bushes are labeled if you want to enjoy the ecology.

Trails not well marked but a nice hike right on campus

We were driving between Atlanta and Statesboro and decided to go for a road trip. Really glad we did lots of neat little towns went out into the woods saw the leaves changing actually saw pawn and the Mother dear the DOE.
