Great pizza and just as good service. If you are looking for a nice sit down NY Style Pizza that won't break the bank. Johnny's is the best place in Athens. I use to go to the one in Marietta with my family, so just the fact that there is one here makes me happy.
Here is what you might not know about Johnny's pizza. The food is good, but be prepared to have hair in it, because the cooks are required to wear hats, but have long hair not in a hair net or nothing to keep there hairs from falling into your food. I had on more than one occasion had to bring back food because of hair inside. The owner promised us $25 gift card for everytime we got a google review with our name on it. He never honored his word and saying I was trying to cushion my paycheck on the way out. If you have family he pretends to care but when something bad happens to them he doesn't care or show any concern. Told my family to walk through a crime scene to get to work because they were short staffed. I always put in the extra touch getting to know each one of my guests by name and always making sure the place was spotless. My family use to love Johnny's before the new owner who clearly cares about one thing. $$$$$$
We went to the east side Athens Location on a Friday night. Awesome atmosphere. Great staff. Yummy food. Sky is the best server! Great drink deals. Reasonably priced food - great quality!
Collin was an awesome server! He provided excellent service and made a concerted effort to get to know our table. He knew the menu well and showed he truly enjoyed his job and the restaurant. The pizza was also great and came very quickly. All around a great experience and will be returning.
Great spot my family took us to while visiting Georgia recently. Pizza was excellent, calzones were literally oozing cheese and ingredients and the beer was ice cold. I eyeballed the food challenge but will have to work myself up an appetite for our next visit! Highly recommended!
