I've had a great time every time I've been here. I'm not an alcohol connoisseur by any standard but the drink choices are acceptable enough to get a buzz on and enjoy seeing DJRX perform. I imagine if DJRX wasn't performing, it wouldn't be as popular because not a lot of DJs have video to accompany their performances like he does, and with the videos being displayed on the HUGE projection screen along with exciting lights beaming about, it's quite a spectacle. This place & Jerzees Sports Bar are probably the top 2 places to go in Athens if you're craving a wild night.

My first time going was about 2 weeks ago, really fun & cool atmosphere & a nice size venue for upstairs & downstairs events.
Hedges is one of those places you should visit once on a packed out Saturday night and then never go again. It's dirty, the drink selection is extremely limited and aren't well made at that, and the only real attraction is DJ RX. Otherwise, it's just a hot, grungy mess inside. They will also try to find ways to keep people out, strangely. A friend of mine was asked to leave because he had on a striped shirt that night, and I saw them pull others out of line for equally frivolous things.
Very poor bar. poorly mixed drinks with low quality alcohol. Prices jacked. only reason people keep going is for the DJ, but the staff are unfriendly (not to mention racist and discriminatory), and not of appropriate age or stature to check IDs at a bar.
