Went here for an after-work happy hour. A good selection of craft beers on summer special for $3 and $4! Not crowded during the summers either!
As an adult - aka someone who graduated from UGA 17 years ago - I can say this is a great bar for grown ups in a college town. The bartenders are knowledgeable, the liquor and beer is varied and high quality and the setting is a little remote, up some secret steps, with gorgeous wood interior inside and a really cool outdoor deck open to the sky, with creative seating and strung with lights. When my husband and I are in town, we make it a point to drop by. He likes to try things off their extensive whiskey menu. I like exploring their creative cocktails. We've gone a little early, or come late, and it's been a really chill experience each time.
Very hip little bar tucked away in the center of the block. If you don't know where to look, it's extraordinarily easy to miss. However, you would be missing out on a great dt experience. The bar is very classy inside, with booths for a cozy environment, as well as an outdoor seating area. Drinks are a bit high, but they also don't have low quality liquor. Their top shelf is a true top shelf.
Best bar in Athens. Has a huge selection of beer and a great atmosphere.
The crab dip is exceptional, and quite large for the price. The Reuben is very good as well. Karaoke on Friday nights is good but has not caught on yet. The DJ is very personable, and suggests songs you have not attempted before as he listens to you perform. He hasn't missed for me yet.
