was awesome! Great experience. Second time got gel nails. Lasted 3 days. Pedi was good, not great. I tipped well but not really happy. Hopefully 3rd time will be better.

I'm one of those high maintenance girls who always has her nails done and won't wear sandals if my toe nails aren't painted. I've been to City Nails & Spa 9 times in the past 4 months to keep "maintained". While most of the time they do a good job, it can unfortunately be hit or miss. The sweet girl who works the front desk recognizes me right away because how frequently I come in, and many of the technicians greet me as well. It was at my last visit however, that I was pretty unimpressed. I arrived for a gel polish change, where the nail technician tried to upsell me SNS, now while I don't mind being offered a service, the fact that so many of the staff greeted me and recognized me as a regular client should have alerted him to the fact that I know what I like. After I politely declined, he sat in silence despite my attempts at small talk. He rushed the removal process and in doing so damaged my nails, also he didn't offer me a beverage as I normally am. The shaping of my nails was inconsistent and the polish application was very thick in some areas and thin in others. There were several bubbles in the coat which I requested he fix. While I wasn't impressed with the whole situation, I'd already resigned to the fact that it was what it was. When I was leaving, I pulled out my frequent customer stamp card and asked if he would stamp it for the pedicure I got 3 days prior which never got stamped. He turned to another lady and discussed it then told me "I will stamp it for you today, but we won't do it again if not the same day", he also did not give me a stamp for the nail service which I'd just had performed either because apparently they only do that for manicures or full sets, despite the fact that I'd had them stamp it on EVERY single other occasion where I'd just gotten gel polish performed. I was so disappointed by the situation, and I could empathize with the other poor reviews this place has gotten because of their service. While I will give them another shot (because it's been more good than bad experiences), I'm very disappointed at the level of customer service I received as a loyal customer. In the future I will schedule appointments with ONLY the technicians I know to be talented and compensate them appropriately.
Pedicure was great. Got gel nails for the first time ever- they looked terrible. I wasn't sure what to expect, but my friend had them done at the same time and hers looked awesome. I politely asked if there was a way to correct the situation and/or have another tech fix them- blamed it on the paint being old. The manager insisted the same tech try to fix them..so I chose a different color, and 10 minutes of soaking in acetone later she tried again and it was just as bad. Again, I respectfully addressed the situation and my dissatisfaction with the final product. Finally the manager said she would redo them herself, which I was thankful for. She did wonderfully, but by the end of my 3rd paint job my cuticles were raw from acetone, I had been sitting there for 2.5 hours, I was irritated, and I was still charged for the service.
The entire session, both ladies working on my nails spent more time looking at the clock than my nails. I had to ask multiple times for the manicurist to get the rest of my previous nail polish off. I still have gray specks of paint under my clear coat. Very poor attention to detail, and poor customer service.
Very poor customer service. They made my entire family highly uncomfortable. A guy there jerked the remote control from my 2 year old little girl's hand and said "You no play with remote." They're complete smartasses (excuse the language) and got mad when my daughter accidentally messed up ONE of my wife's nail and said "You need to get your kid! You need to be careful!" I would not recommend this place to anyone nor pay their expensive prices when there's other places that does more for a lot cheaper. Save your money and your stress.
